JOYCE x Kinyan Lam Short Film

The short film was produced for JOYCE x  Kinyan Lam Exclusive Collection during a 5-day trip to Guizhou in Southwest China.  Kinyan Lam, founder and designer of his eponynous brand established in 2019, pays homage to age-old techniques and exeptional craftsmanship of the Dong minority in Guizhou — honoring their cultral legacy through fashion.

 

Filmed on a DV camcorder, the documentary captured the making of the exclusive collection, alongside the natural landscapes and traditional crafts of the Dong people. It serves as a visual archive of intangile cultrual heritage, spolighting the artistry and ancestral knowledge rooted in this remote region of China.
